Russian delegation was represented by 15 export oriented companies interested in entering the largest consumer market of Central Asia.
The central event of the business mission became a B2B matchmaking session, where Russian companies presented their products and made first-hand business contacts with potential trade partners from Uzbekistan. The B2B matchmaking session attracted more than 50 Uzbek companies and representatives of business support infrastructure and public authorities. On the average, each participant of Russian delegation conducted 6 negotiations with relevant Uzbek companies.
Besides, Russian exporters held a meeting with Deputy Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in Uzbekistan D. Dynnikov, who outlined special aspects of doing business in Uzbekistan and pointed out prospective market opportunities for Russian regions. The heads of regional export support centers also got acquainted with the activities of Small Businesses and Private Entrepreneurship’s Export Promotion Fund of Uzbekistan.
Then business mission participants visited international exhibitions “UzAgroExpo–2018” and “UzProdExpo–2018”, whose exhibitors list comprised 170 companies from 20 countries including the CIS countries, the EU countries, the Middle East countries and the Southeast Asian countries. At the venue of the fall’s largest industry event Russian companies examined a wide range of technologies and solutions for agriculture and food industry.
Summarizing the business mission’s results, RASMEX Deputy Executive Director Evgeniya Shchipkova noted, “The negotiations conducted were very effective; 90% of meetings had a positive outcome. Uzbek partners highly appreciated such products of Russian companies as children’s goods, food products (especially, ice-cream), exercise and fitness equipment, building materials, industrial machines and special electronic devices.
